On April 23, the National Energy Administration released the statistics of the national power industry from January to March.
By the end of March, the country's cumulative installed power generation capacity was about 2.62 billion kilowatts, an increase of 9.1 percent year-on-year.
Among them, the installed capacity of wind power was about 380 million kW, an increase of 11.7%. The installed capacity of solar power generation was about 430 million kW, an increase of 33.7 percent year-on-year.
From January to March, the cumulative average utilization of power generation equipment in the country was 868 hours, 31 hours less than the same period last year.
Among them, 544 hours of hydropower, 92 hours less than the same period last year; Thermal power 1,097 hours, 18 hours less than the same period last year; Wind power 615 hours, 61 hours more than the same period last year; Nuclear power 1,864 hours, an increase of 17 hours over the same period last year; Solar power generated 303 hours, 3 hours more than the same period last year.
From January to March, the country's major power generation enterprises completed investment of 126.4 billion yuan in power supply projects, an increase of 55.2%. Among them, solar power generation was 52.2 billion yuan, an increase of 177.6%; Nuclear power was 16.1 billion yuan, up 53.5% year on year. The investment in power grid projects was 66.8 billion yuan, up 7.5% year on year.
