The difference between outdoor box and power distribution room

1. Definition: The distribution room is also called the distribution office. 2, the voltage level of the distribution room is below 35KV, and the switches, transformers, capacitors and related protection and measurement devices are installed inside;

4, large scale, multiple transformers, high voltage cabinets, low voltage cabinets, etc., to complete the transformer, an independent place of distribution of electric energy, or an area within the building;


5, the difference between the distribution office and the substation is that the distribution room (distribution office) has no transformer, and the substation has all transformers; The substation and distribution office mainly refer to the substation and distribution room of the community or building.


6, the power distribution room is the key part of the building power supply system, set up full-time electricians to implement 24 hours of operation on duty. Without the permission of the manager of the management office and the department head, non-staff members are not allowed to enter;


7, duty personnel must be certified to work, familiar with the status of power distribution equipment, operation methods and safety precautions;


8, the duty personnel must pay close attention to the voltmeter, ammeter, power factor meter indication, it is forbidden to overload the air switch operation;


9, often keep the power distribution room floor and equipment appearance dust-free;


10. The switching operation of the equipment in the power distribution room shall be carried out by the duty officer alone, and other personnel present shall only be monitored and shall not interfere;


11. It is strictly prohibited for two people to reverse the brake operation at the same time to avoid errors.


It can be seen from the above that the main differences between the box transformer and the power distribution room are as follows:


1. Construction:


The box becomes simpler, do the foundation, cable trench, the box changes to the basis of a place, the bottom into the bottom out to connect the high and low pressure inlet and outlet line, debugging, complete;


The underground power distribution room is relatively complicated, but it is simpler because of the underground garage. Equipment to be installed, fire prevention and other safety measures are relatively complex, the cost may be larger;


2. Operation and maintenance:


The operating environment of the box is relatively harsh, outdoor, wind and sun, and the seal is not easy to check. High integration, inconvenient maintenance;


The power distribution room has no such problems. A variety of operating modes can be designed according to requirements;


3. Reliability:


The switchboard room may be higher. Because of the high degree of integration of the box, the mutual influence between the equipment is greater;


4. Environmental impact:


The box changes on the ground, occupies a certain space, and affects the layout of ground facilities and the landscape of the community. Some impact on safety and the activities of residents;


The power distribution room has no influence in this regard.


5. Cost:


The price of the equipment is not low, and the cost of operation and maintenance is more;


It is estimated that the overall cost of the equipment in the distribution room will not be much higher than that of the box. Because of the underground garage, the cost of civil construction will not increase much. The impact is that it occupies the area of the basement, which may reduce the setting of parking Spaces and affect the income in this area.


6, the use of the power distribution room is more mature than the box:
